A world I didn&#8217;t know appear on the screen.<\/p>\n<p>Scratch is a project of the Lifelong Kindergarten Group at the MIT Media Lab of Boston.<br \/>\n<a href=\"http:\/\/www.danieledavi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/students-on-scratch.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-41\" alt=\"students on scratch\" src=\"http:\/\/www.danieledavi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/students-on-scratch-300x162.png\" width=\"300\" height=\"162\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.danieledavi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/students-on-scratch-300x162.png 300w, https:\/\/www.danieledavi.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/students-on-scratch.png 372w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Scratch helps young people learn to think creatively, reason systematically, and work collaboratively: the ability to code computer programs is an important part of literacy in our society. When people learn to code in Scratch, they learn important strategies for solving problems, designing projects, and communicating ideas. Amazing!<\/p>\n<p>Students are learning with Scratch at all levels (from elementary school to college) and across disciplines (such as math, computer science, language arts, social studies).<br \/>\nScratch is free of charge and\u00a0is designed especially for ages 8 to 16, but is used by people of all ages. Scratch is available in more than 40 languages, is\u00a0used in more than 150 different countries and millions of people (even right now!) are creating Scratch projects in a wide variety of settings, including homes, schools, museums, libraries, and community centers.<\/p>\n<p>There are incredible innovations and opportunity in Today&#8217;s world and Scratch is one of those.<br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/embed.ted.com\/talks\/mitch_resnick_let_s_teach_kids_to_code.html\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\" scrolling=\"no\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Do you know\u00a0Scratch?
